Alleged Geforce GTX 'Titan X' Specs and Benches Leak Out - SiSoft Sandra Does it Again

Something pretty interesting popped up on the inter-webs recently. Many forums, from Overclock.net, to Notebookreview.com take started reporting on an enigmatic SiSoft Sandra criterion that appeared approximately 24 hours back. On coincidental inspection the bench appears to be a GM200 exam run. Needless to say, this is as unreliable as unreliable gets, and so please accept a skilful look at the little tag at the top. nvidia_geforce_gtx_titanz_sli

Nvidia's adjacent generation GM200 GPU allegedly rocks 3072 CUDA cores and upto one.2Ghz boost clock

Before we begin, allow me make something clear, I do not know what the GM200 GPU volition be called. Information technology could be the GTX 980 Ti, It could be Titan II/10 or any other variation thereof. It should be pretty articulate that the proper noun I have used above is merely a placeholder since I tin can't really go on on calling it 'the-GPU-with-GM200-within'. Basically, this particular leak stems from SiSoft Sandra'south criterion database (something on which I will be keeping a close center from at present on) only similar the massive AMD Carrizo Leak a few days dorsum. Whoever, conducted the bench fabricated sure to hide virtually of the ID Codes and identifying information but some specs and the Nvidia logo were left out, peradventure deliberately. It also raises the question whether the results are spoofed. Normally faking synthetic benchmarks is near impossible, but I have no personal experience with SiSoft and so I won't comment further. GM200 3072 CUDA Cores

If the benchmark is truly of the adjacent Maxwell Flagship, so nosotros are looking at a CUDA Core count of 3072 in 24 SMMs. Since there are 24 Streaming Maxwell Processors and each SMM has 8 TMUs to it, I can further deduce that this carte du jour has 192 TMUs.  You tin await 96 ROPs to get forth with it. A slightly odd number, but null to really set up alarm bells ringing. It features 3MB of L2 cache, 384 flake coach width and perhaps about surprisingly, 12GB vRam coupled with a low 6GHZ frequency. Every bit forum members have pointed out, this is usually indicative of a professional GPU. The GPU does feature the trademark high clocks of the Maxwell architecture, which are well above the i.1Ghz marking when boosting but has a suspiciously large amount of video buffer and a surprisingly low memory clock as I mentioned before. Unless Nvidia is planning to market an 8K Ready Geforce (with an absolutely killer toll tag) this is about certainly a professional GPU, that is, if this leak is legit. Ofcourse, this doesn't really matter to us, since the flake remains the same, regardless of the branding. That's all and looks similar the new GPU leak season is starting once again folks, so stay tuned.
